Challenge
A two-day conference promoting the creative placemaking agenda in Denmark. The very first Build for Creativity conference took place in March of 2022. The conference's aim was to inspire those with influence over urban planning to consider the value of creativity in their sector, and to shine light on the innovation and creativity found in development projects all over Denmark.
Approach
The event consisted of talks, panel discussions, and presentations revolving around creative placemaking in Denmark and beyond. The conference hosted over 20 speakers, including representatives from architect firms, the public sector, community projects, and data labs, plus VOLCANO's own team.
Q&A sessions opened up interesting discussions, which inspired VOLCANO to continue the conversation in a digital format. This new-found community of passionate place-makers was one of the key takeaways from the conference. Build for Creativity was hosted by Building Green and VOLCANO.
